E-mail Headers To find the name of the ISP of a Spam sender in Outlook Express, first "select" or highlight the questionable e-mail, click File in the Outlook Express menu bar > then Properties > Details > Message Source. Now you're ready to find the real sender...(if you like Detective Novels, this will be fun!) Spammer's often mask their actual email address, so I suggest this web page for a clear explanation of How-To find the Spammers IP Address: http://www.spamcop.net/fom-serve/cache/19.html Other e-mail clients, such as MS Outlook, Netscape, Eudora, Incredi-Mail, Mozilla and others have a similar path to reveal e-mail Headers which are necessary when reporting Spammers. Send an e-mail to the Spammers ISP with a copy of the full header to: abuse@ISP name, postmaster@ISP name or support@ISP name. Also, report the Spammers ISP to an online list as described below in "Getting rid of Spam". Most ISP's have clearly documented rules warning their users not to send Spam. When discovered, Spammer e-mail accounts are off-line until they contact their ISP. Definitions and Links: IP address Sam Spade or Network Solutions Whois top
